Message from Hannah Gutteridge – SCC Access to the Countryside

I have had problems with a couple of the Bridleways, where utility companies have dug up the surface and left the sub soil on the top, which has become founderous. Unless they have applied for an opening licence they are very difficult to deal with, when it comes to repairing the damage. Therefore, may I ask that people keep their eyes and ears open, so if works are occurring, I can check they have an opening licence. Thank you.  Hannah.

  1. Concrete Crusher on the Ifield/Charlwood Road? If you ride on this road, which is quite narrow in places as it is basically an unclassified country lane, would you appreciate an estimated 60 more big lorries coming and going at the Brown’s yard? Check out the planning application at West Sussex County Council – WSCC/029/13/RS. Objections should be in by 23rd May, but as Charlwood Parish Council were not included as a consultee, there is now an extension to this.
